Fall 2026 Academic Snapshot

Students learning at St. Francis Xavier Catholic School in Birmingham, Alabama

We are pleased to share a snapshot of academic achievement at St. Francis Xavier Catholic School. This August, 2nd - 8th grade students completed MAP Growth testing, the standardized assessment used in Catholic schools across the Diocese of Birmingham. Administered three times each year (Fall, Winter, & Spring), the MAP Growth assessment measures student achievement and growth in three subject areas: Reading, Language, and Math. Our Fall 2026 results show school-wide achievement scores meeting and exceeding the national average in all three categories, with Reading and Language performing above the national midpoint. This is one meaningful glimpse of the strong academic foundation being built at St. Francis Xavier. We are grateful for the dedication of our teachers, the diligence of our students, and the partnership of our families as we pursue excellence in faith, wisdom, and virtue each and every day. Go Saints!
